I am emailing you to introduce myself and also Badminton Central Coast Incorporated, a brand new club, affiliated with Badminton NSW that is focusing on promoting the sport across the coast. Our goal is simply to gain support for the sport and also develop a youth and schools program to get young players on board.
We currently have two sessions per week at Niagara Park Sports Centre on Tuesday Mornings and Friday evenings with anywhere from 6 to 20 people attending these sessions each week. We have taken the decision to formalise the club and have therefore aligned ourselves with the representative body being Badminton NSW and have their full support with our quest and we have also registered and incorporated the club in February this year so we are truly a non profit organization with a cheeky logo to boot. We have a committee formed who are all mad about baddy and really want to make the club a true success. The main reason for me emailing you, is to inform you that we will be having an open day to launch our Sunday sessions at the Peninsula Leisure Centre n Blackwall Road Woy Woy. They have been great to work with and we have arranged a Sunday session on the Peninsula to attract families and juniors. I have attached the promotional flyer for the open day and also our regular events for your information. I would also like to ask if you would be able to promote this event for us. We are looking at attract as many as possible to the FREE event to have a hit, play a game or just have a look and increase our membership base. We believe community news is the best way to get the word out there along with our own Facebook presence. I would really appreciate any assistance you could give us on this launch and also ongoing if possible. We are a totally voluntary organization working on very modest budgets funded by membership and a small margin on game fees. I am happy to assist you if you need any more detail. |
