Over the past few months, we have seen a strong increase in demand, along with many new faces, which is wonderful. By increasing our capacity and providing more playing opportunities to the wider community, we hope to grow badminton on the Central Coast.

Our playing schedule is as follows:
Monday: 7 - 9pm
Friday: 7 - 9pm
Sunday: 3 - 5pm

As with previous comps, it will run over 4 nights:

Finals                 Monday 12/07/2021
 
The games will be played at Henry Kendall High School, commencing at 7.15 pm.

Please note that there will still be 1 or 2 courts available for normal social games.

This is a beginner friendly social competition and is only open to our club’s registered members.

]]><![CDATA[Badminton Lessons for Beginners]]>Mon, 03 Aug 2020 02:37:58 GMThttps://www.badmintoncentralcoast.com.au/club-news/badminton-lessons-for-beginnersAs a way to introduce new-comers to the sport and help provide some structure to their games, we are pleased to announce a short course "badminton 101". This course will run for 5 consecutive weeks on Mondays from 6 - 8 pm, starting Monday August 10 - September 14.

The lessons will be delivered in a small group of up to 8 players. The cost is $30/person for the entire 5 week course.

If you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible by email, Facebook, or in person.]]><![CDATA[COVID-19 Safety Measures]]>Mon, 20 Jul 2020 08:13:24 GMThttps://www.badmintoncentralcoast.com.au/club-news/covid-19-safety-measuresAs per our previous announcement, there will be a few changes to our procedures/protocols aimed at keeping everyone safe starting Wed July 22nd.

The first is a new digital/online attendance form. Everyone is expected to fill out an attendance sheet using their phone. Upon arrival at the hall, please look for a printed notice containing a QR code that will lead you to the online form. All iPhones starting with the 5S running iOS 11 or newer, as well as most Android based devices from the last 5 years running Android Oreo have a QR code reader built into the camera app. If not, there are plenty of free QR code readers available on the App Store or Play Store.

A hand sanitising station will be available at the entry to the hall. Please sanitise your hands as soon as you see the station.

We will be trialling EFTPOS payments. As a backup, please also have exact change with you. As the EFTPOS machine requires an operator, we will be taking payments at dedicated times during the session.

There will be changes to seating arrangement in order to promote social distancing in the hall.

Lastly, we are looking for volunteers to help set up and pack up after each session. We are required to wipe down and disinfect all surfaces after use. Ideally we would like to setup a roster of helpers that can come early or stay later to help the Committee with various tasks pre and post session. If you can make yourself available on a semi-regular basis, please let us know by email.]]>
